The Flamingo Las Vegas will begin to open up its newly renovated rooms to the public in 2012.
The hotel has begun the process of remodelling 2,307 standard rooms out of 3,500 total rooms in the resort, transforming the aging rooms into contemporary designed FAB rooms.
Guests can stay in 500 of these new accommodations beginning January 2, 2012, and an additional 200 rooms will be completed and opened for booking every 11 days.
The entire block of rooms is scheduled to be renovated by May 2012. The hotel is revamping in preparation for the $550 million Project Linq entertainment complex being developed next door by Caesars Entertainment.
In September, the hotel completed its conversion 15,000 square feet of public space to open the new Margaritaville casino floor expansion. The new FAB rooms include a more contemporary design that retains the hotel's classic look with flamingo pink, vintage Vegas art and 32-inch flat screen TVs.
