The Splash Canyon Waterpark, currently under construction, will open Memorial Day weekend in 2012.

The 25 acre, $18 million Las Vegas project will employ more than 500 seasonal employees and be located near I-215.
Phase I of the project includes: a large, surfable Wave Pool, a three-slide complex with multi-rider tube slides, a big slide complex with speed slides and a six-lane, head-first Mat Racer, a 1,000-foot-long Lazy River, a children’s water playground with toddler features, a four-story RainFortress playground, private cabanas, food outlets, a group picnic area accommodating up to 2, 000 people with catering facilities and staff-led activities, and other amenities.
The Phase II design and engineering will expand Splash Canyon Waterpark to 40 acres.
The hours of the waterpark will be from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., daily, with extended hours for special events, concerts and private parties. It will be open through Labor Day weekend.
